Chef Adriana had carried two things with her since she was a child: a passion for food, and a red notebook. Through mock restaurants in her family home cooking meals for her sisters and friends before prom to culinary school, pastry classes, and working on the line at busy restaurants, her Red Book stayed full of ideas. And when she filled one, another Red Book took its place.

Joe, also known as “The Bartender” always had a passion for hospitality. From working at the English Tea Room to his world wide travels Joe made sure to keep learning and growing in his knowledge of customizing authentic cocktails and bringing culture to the art of bartending.

Chef Adriana and Joe met at an Italian restaurant right here in Austin, TX. According to Joe it was an automatic attraction when he saw Adriana (also known as his Pecan Puerto Rican) winning the “golden tongs award” for being the top chef on the line. Three years later the two engaged at the top of Sandia mountain in New Mexico.

They had the same goal in mind - serving people fresh, authentic food and introducing others to different cuisines and custom cocktails! Adriana and Joe then decided to introduce themselves and share their gifts with the larger Austin and Central Texas Hill Country area and Red Book was born.

Through the years it was not easy for the two but with hard work and dedication they saw their family grow! Meeting many others that are as dedicated, passionate and caring as they are. Each member has brought their own unique skill to the table and has helped add more pages to the Red Book story.
